As the family behind Laughing Bomb Brewery & Vineyard, we purchased John Christ in 2023 with a passion for community and craftsmanship. Our top-selling wines are lovingly named after our daughters, Gracie & Adelynn, and we’re proud to continue producing John Christ’s classic Ohio sweet wines while creating new wines and craft brews.

The Laughbaums
At the heart of Laughing Bomb Brewery & Vineyard are Zech and Brittney, partners in both life and business, united by a shared vision of community, quality, and connection.
Zech, a Montana native with a lifelong love for hockey, made his way to Ohio in 2007, where he met Brittney at North Olmsted High School. He furthered his passion for brewing by attending Cleveland State University, focusing on a microbiology background, and continued honing his craft at the Siebel Institute of Technology-the oldest brewing school in the Americas. Zech built his career on precision, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to quality. As a Quality Control Manager at Fat Head’s Brewery, he played a key role in producing award-winning beer while never compromising standards. His experience spans high-volume production brewing, cellar work, packaging, and operations—bringing a rare depth of industry knowledge and a respected reputation within the brewing community. Today, Zech channels his brewing science background into crafting world-class beer and award winning wine designed to stand apart.
Brittney, a proud North Olmsted native, has always been driven by a love for family and community. A graduate of Cleveland State University with a degree in Education and Human Services, she spent 10 years as an Intervention Specialist in Cleveland, along with coaching dance. Her passion for supporting students with special needs and helping others succeed shaped her approach to leadership and service. After starting a family, Brittney felt called to make an even broader impact, one that extended beyond the classroom and into the community she loves. Now serving as Laughing Bomb’s Event Coordinator and Marketing Director, Brittney brings creativity, energy, and heart into every detail of the guest experience.
Together, Zech and Brittney have built Laughing Bomb as more than just a brewery, it’s a place where community comes first. Their mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where families, friends, and neighbors can gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories for years to come.
Our two new wines are named after our beautiful daughters, and they are a true reflection of their unique personalities.
Gracie’s Rose, is named after our oldest daughter Gracelyn Rose, who is sweet, bubbly, and full of character. This bubbly American Rose, is a Semi-Sweet Rose bursting with fresh notes of fruit and tinted to pink just like her favorite color.
Our second wine was created for our youngest daughter Adelynn, who is bold, spicy, and fierce. This unique wine was created to reflect her beautiful personality. Adelynn is our house Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in River Roots Barrel Company’s Bourbon Barrels. Adeylnn has notes of vanilla, oak, & spice from the bourbon barrel.
